Tehran: 18:34, 2004/09/25 - Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) of the Iranian Foreign Ministry and the Institute for International Energy Studies (IIES) are going to hold a seminar entitled ‘Oil and Foreign Policy’ on Tuesday Sept. 28.
According to Fars News Agency, the one-day gathering will present lectures, discussions and articles on various issues such as the role of oil and gas industries in Iran’s foreign policy, Iran’s chances and obstacles to role-playing in the global oil policies, role of Iranian contractors in foreign relations of the oil industry, oil relations with Russia and its impact on Iran’s foreign policy, and the significance of the roles of China and India in Iran’s oil relations with other countries.
Iran’s representative to OPEC headquarters Hussein Kazempur Ardabili, deputy director of economic affairs in the foreign ministry Mohammad Hussein Adeli, IIES chairman Mehdi Asali, and Abbas Khoyi the managing director of Petroiran Co. will give their lectures during the seminar.
